STEEP FALLS – Maine State Police spokesman Steve McCausland said Tuesday the woman involved in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 295 in Bowdoinham last week has died of her injuries.
Mona Kelley, 56, of Steep Falls, died at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston earlier this week. Troopers said her car overturned along the southbound lane last Tuesday afternoon, after several motorists reported the car was being operated erratically.
Kelley was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car after it overturned several times in the median, McCausland said. Troopers suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash, he added.
