PORTLAND — Richmond’s CF Ryan Lollis homered twice and RF Jarrett Parker knocked in three runs, leading the Richmond Flying Squirrels (56-59) to an 8-2 Eastern League win over the Portland Sea Dogs (56-59) on Tuesday night in the series opener at Hadlock Field. Richmond made it four straight wins against Portland and clinched the season series.

Jack Snodgrass (9-4) tossed 5.1 innings on five hits and one run to earn the win. Edwin Quirarte earned his fourth hold with a 2.1 innings of relief and LHP Phil McCormick nailed down his third save of the year.

Matt Barnes (5-8) allowed more than two earned runs for the first time since June 29th at New Hampshire.

Barnes took the loss, giving up four runs (three earned) on seven hits over 5.2 innings. The righty fanned seven, improving his team-leading total to 120.

Christian Vazquez picked up his fourth straight multihit game and drove in both Portland runs.

Parker went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs for the Flying Squirrels.
