WISCASSET — First Congregational Church will celebrate its 30th annual Summerfest on the town common Saturday, July 27, from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.
All day events include many treasure tables featuring jewelry, books, knits /crafts, jumbles (slightly used items), woodbutchers, toys, baked goods and plants.
The silent auction also has many wonderful gifts including an L.L. Bean kayak with paddle, two aerial photos of Wiscasset donated by famed photographer Tom Jones, and a number of items donated by local merchants, artists and crafters.
In addition, Summerfest will feature Candy Kitchen, the On Common Café and games for children.
The ninth annual dog parade and dog show begins at 10 a.m. All dogs are invited.
There will be entertainment all day while you browse through the many treasures. Music will be provided by local musicians.
For the past 29 years, the church has donated all the proceeds to various local charities for the improvement of the community, and will follow suit this year.
