SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA, Spain (AP) — Investigators have taken possession of the “black boxes” of the Spain train that hurtled at high-speed along a curve and derailed, killing 80 people.

Court spokeswoman Maria Pardo Rios said today that police had the boxes but declined comment on how long analysis will take to determine why the train was speeding above the limit when it crashed.

She says the train operator is still hospitalized and will be questioned by police but that the interview will not happen today.

The crash Wednesday was Spain’s deadliest rail disaster in decades. By today, all but seven victims had been identified in a makeshift morgue in Santiago de Compostela where the train crashed.
