Duddy in Gorham concert
Maine’s own country singer and entertainer, Jose Duddy, will be in concert from 6:30-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, at the gazebo on the lawn at Gorham Municipal Center, 75 South St.
The event is sponsored by the Gorham Recreation Department. Admission is free. Parking is along South Street or in the municipal lot at the center.
Archives open Thursdays
The Gorham Historical Society archives, 28 School St., is open from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursdays until October.

Singing DJ at Lions car show
The Gorham Lions Club is hosting its sixth annual auto show 6:30 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at Gorham High School, 41 Morrill Ave.
General admission is free and car registration is $5. The show will be held rain or shine.
Norman Wedge of the club said he is expecting 200 cars again this year, with “all shapes and sizes and ages along with a new venture of antique tractors.”
“We have added a new twist this year with a singing disc jockey from Gray,” Wedge said.
N.Y. agency hires Wasneechak
The North Country Children’s Clinic, based in Watertown, N.Y., has announced that Daniel A. Wasneechak of Gorham will become the agency’s executive director in August.
Wasneechak has been employed by Martin’s Point Health Center, which has several locations including Gorham.
“His last day with Martin’s Point will be the end of July and he was our director of government programs,” Peter DeWitt, communications director at Martin’s Point, said this week.
U.S. taxpayer debt
The Bureau of Public Debt reported on July 19 that the U.S. public debt was $16,738,158,460,368.61.
Entertainer Jose Duddy will be singing in Gorham July 30.
