BRUNSWICK — The ninth Annual Peace Fair will be held on the Brunswick Green, Saturday, Aug. 3.
The theme of this year’s fair is “Children Ask the World of Us.”
There will be music by Jud Caswell, Broadband and Tyson Weems; children’s play with Jamie Silvestri and her Art Van; a poetrywriting workshop with Gary Lawless and Terry Grasse; ox cart rides with Working Villages International; and a collaboration by Zoe Weil and artist Robert Shetterly on educating young people to be “active citizens” and “solutionaries.”
The Fair invites us to shift our thoughts from somber to joyful, to have fun together in learning and taking action so that, together, we can build a nurturing and sustainable world for our children.
The fair opens at 10 a.m. and continues until 3 p.m.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
