BRISTOL — Warm up the vocal chords, there’s plenty of Sacred Harp singing to do July 26 to 28.
Singing on Friday, July 26, will be at 7 p.m. at the Bristol Mills Masonic Hall on Route 130 in Bristol. Bring red or beige songbooks.
Saturday, July 27, will be the 11th annual Maine All Day Singing at the Old Town House, Town House Road in Union, with dinner on the grounds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Participants will be singing from the Sacred Harp, 1991 Denson edition. Books will be available for loan or purchase.
Sunday, July 28, features the 4th annual American Vocalist Singing. Participants will sing from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from the Sacred Harp, the Shenandoah Harmony and the shapenote version of the American Vocalist. This singing also takes place at the Old Town House in Union.
This annual singing weekend occurs on the Saturday before the last Sunday in July.
