BRUNSWICK — Sometime between the end of school on June 17 and July 11, an unknown person tried to break into the nurse’s office at Coffin Elementary School.

The school nurse noticed the damage to her office door July 11, police said. The door, which is commercial-grade steel, was damaged but intact and apparently stymied the would-be burglar because nothing was reported missing, Lt. Tom Garrepy said.
