I sometimes wonder how many folks who read my stuff think I’m a right-wing nut job who hates Obama policy across the board.

It might be interesting to some that I actually have a coworker who is a friend and Democrat.

He is, however, from the old school. He is an American first. He believes in the U.S. Constitution and holds dear liberty — as opposed to Big Government tyranny — as I do.

As a matter of real fact, the Obama/Pingree tyrants who spend our children’s futures with their borderline Communist agendas are actually bringing people like my friend and I together. We see more things eye to eye than ever before as the Democratic Party and John Bohener, Karl Rove and McCain-Collins Republicans sell you and your country down the river as fast as they can, in the most “bipartisan” way.

Collins? Collins? Did he say our beloved Susan “Bipartisan” Collins? The one who plays it straight down the middle for both sides so much that we all just love her?

Well folks, let’s take a look at a very recent issue, the Farm Bill.

Please go to Susan Collins’ official website and read all about the Farm Bill. There, you will immediately see great news about jobs and supporting vital research programs and helping Maine family farms. The word “vital” is used often, to assure you that there is no way a family farm can exist without big government leading the way.

Another “vital program” is to ensure “important education, training, outreach and mentoring programs to ensure the success of the next generation of farmers.”

Folks, do family farms need outreach and mentoring? I have a family-owned farm up the road from me that has been training, mentoring with no outreach from Big Brother (or Sister) for generations. What they could really use is cheap diesel, gasoline, natural gas, propane and especially electricity to bring down their operating costs. Energy legislation largely supported by Collins has hurt he family farm and the rest of Maine tremendously.

Through all the flowery, deceptive language is the gargantuan problem that hurts all of Maine and may be a part of an economic meltdown like we’ve never seen before. The Farm Bill has the wrong name and that is quite by design. Our senator also did not tell you that this bill is close to yet another trillion dollars.

But why? Why would a simple little Farm Bill cost you the taxpayer so much money?

Well, 80 percent of the almost trillion dollars in this bill is for food stamps.

You know: The food stamp program the Obama administration was advertising in Mexico before the election. That’s $940 billion dollars just to “help” the Maine farmer with the Food Stamp Bill.

Way to go, Senator Collins! And since the United States is already in accumulated debt to the tune of about $90 trillion — give or take a couple $2, $3 trillion — what’s another trill in the bill.

But wait! The working-class Mainer is having trouble putting food on the table, as the senator says on her web page. Me and my neighbors know this well. The core reason is because the Democratic Party and establishment Republicans like Susan Collins are working with — not against — Obama/Pingree Democrats.

My Democrat friend and coworker reminded me one day that “we do not live in a representative republic any more.”

He is absolutely correct. The watchword for Susan Collins — “bipartisan” — she uses to sell you on the idea that she is a reasonable “reach across the aisle” politician who’s there to serve and represent you.

She is not. She serves herself and her career in Washington.

It is the opinion of this writer that there is but one hope for the survival of this country: a national return to the God of the Bible and men who truly fight for your wallet, like Gov. LePage.

That man is in great contrast to the self-serving in Washington and Augusta, and is a giant step in the right direction for Maine and its children.

Liberalism has ruined a couple of generations of Maine children. Just take a look around you.
