AUBURN — First Universalist Church invites the community to meet the Climate Riders at a potluck supper on Monday, July 15, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The Climate Riders are six young adults who have “committed their summer to living their values, traveling exclusively by bicycle with no support vehicles, and learning from/working with communities across New England to keep building a better future beyond fossil fuels.”
Sara Karam, of the First Universalist Church of Auburn’s Social Justice Committee, is hosting this group throughout the week, as they do community service projects around the twin cities.
“We support their mission,” said Karam, “which is in keeping with our own.”
The potluck will be held at the First Universalist Church of Auburn, 169 Pleasant St. For more information, call 783-0461 or visit www.auburnuu.org.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
