Thank you for publishing Rick Roberts’ succinct and informative column about Agenda 21 (July 4 American Journal).

Rick has encapsulated the history of A-21, current global and local plans, and why we should be very afraid of Agenda 21.

I disagree with him, however, that because other countries are such polluters that it’s up to U.S. citizens to scrimp, cut back, recycle, waste our money on alternative energy, etc., to save the world.

His pitch about our warming the atmosphere and oceans, needing to cut consumption, killing off species and stripping the forests sounds like the old blame game that if you don’t recyle or deign to cut down a tree, you are “against the environment” and probably are helping bring about the earth’s demise. Environmentalism is not my religion.

Besides, the state of the United States’ environment or the state of our planet in no way warrants what Agenda 21 proposes to do.

Agenda 21 is a con, folks.

The elite, connected with the United Nations or world governments, George Soros included, simply want to bring the United States to her knees so that they can control the world in all aspects (I know, I know, it sounds like science fiction).

Global governance, people! This has been desired by the progressives in our government for 80 years or more. They assume they know better than you and I do as to how our lives should be led.

I’m (mildly) shocked that George H.W. Bush signed an agreement in Rio to bring this about. I’m shocked, too, that President Clinton and George Bush signed NAFTA, which led to that “sucking sound” (Ross Perot said) as our manufacturing jobs went to Mexico and overseas. I’m for business, but this “corporate dodge” was too much. What about the lives of the American people?

Fool us once (NAFTA), shame on you. Fool us twice (A-21), shame on us.

There are enough of us around of the age that we were “there” but still have our memories.

Time to connect the dots. Don’t believe the distorted bits and pieces the mainstream media tosses out to us. Start talking to you friends, neighbors, relatives about how things used to be, before our manufacturing capabilities went bad. Discuss the “milestones” that have been taking our country down. When you hear Agenda 21 language, such as sustainable living, say to yourself, “Sustainable for who?” It’s about property rights and your freedom to do what you wish with your property.

When people say you’re crazy, just tell them, as I do, “Crazy like a fox!”
