Dave Cleaveland, owner of Maine Imaging, has partnered with international aerial stock photography company Latitude Image to create what principals say is the largest catalogued aerial coverage of New England online.
The 3,000-plus image collection covers seascapes, landscapes and nature images from the tip of Maine to the edges of Connecticut. Spanning the nearly 72,000 square miles of the region, Cleveland’s work captures 187 cities and towns in New England, with 104 towns in Maine.
Each image will be mapped and catalogued by Latitude Image, whose owner and founder, Peter Sauleda, says, “We’re thrilled with Dave’s collection — we’re sitting on a heritage collection here. And with Dave’s tenacity, it’s going to keep growing.”
Cleaveland, who works from a R-22 helicopter, ensures a 24-hour turnaround of images.
“Any success I’ve had comes from a strong work ethic and doing my best to give my client what they want, in a very timely manner,” he says.
His principal clients are real estate agencies, property management companies, construction companies and homeowners.
Cleaveland’s work, which has been published in Outdoor Photographer, Down East, Yankee, Condé Nast Publications and others, joins Latitude Image’s international collection covering 37 countries and 2,360 cities.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
