BRUNSWICK — Spindleworks’ midsummer show, “Archive Fever,” is a retrospective exhibit celebrating the acts of making and collecting, as well as the center’s 35th anniversary year.
The exhibit runs from July 8 to Aug. 2, with an ArtWalk reception planned on July 12 from 5-8 p.m. at Whatnot gallery at 7 Lincoln St.
Founded in 1978 by local artist Nan Ross, Spindleworks has grown to represent more than 40 artists working in a wide variety of art forms. “Archive Fever” brings together Spindleworks’ most prolific artists — including Betty Pinette, Rita Langlois, Diane Black, Terri Snape and John Joyce — with newer artists who showcase Spindleworks at its best today.
The show ranges from painting and drawing to fiber arts, sculpture, writing and mixed media. Exhibited works will include pieces for sale and others.
