The ever-popular Grand Cherokee was recently redesigned.
When Italian manufacturer Fiat bought out American manufacturer Chrysler, it was pretty clear to insiders that the Italian car company was more interested in Chrysler’s Jeep brand than any of the others. Today, it is not at all surprising to see some exciting things happening with Jeep. Indeed, the Fiat-Chrysler management is looking at putting out some new Jeep models, including some that will be based on Fiat and Alfa-Romeo platforms. For the time being, the smaller Compass and Patriot compact SUVs remain very popular within the North American market and will soon be available with a new six-speed automatic transmission. In the near future we can expect to see a newer, modernized version of the now defunct Liberty. The legendary Wrangler won’t be changing soon, although buyers can enjoy the more aggressive and robust tenth anniversary version of its mighty Rubicon version, available on the market now. The Wrangler can be had as a two-door or Unlimited four-door. A lot of Jeep’s credibility relies upon the Grand Cherokee, now offered in many new trims including the incredibly powerful SRT8 or the unique TrailHawk.
