NORTH YARMOUTH — The town welcomes summer next week with a community concert and cookout on Thursday, July 11, and Skyline Farm’s 11th annual summer celebration fundraiser two days later.

The free concert and dinner takes place at the Village Green bandstand on Route 115 at 5:30 p.m. The event includes North Yarmouth’s third annual dessert contest, and participants are asked to bring a dish to be shared, as well as something to be grilled.

The Italian Heritage Center Concert Band will provide the music.

Diana Logan, a certified professional dog trainer, will offer dog trick demonstrations.

A lobster bake will be held from 6-7 p.m. Call 829-5708 or e-mail info@skylinefarm.org to reserve a $50 lobster or steak dinner by July 5; the cost includes a tax-deductible donation to the farm.

Dessert will be available from 7-8 p.m. in Skyline’s museum, which features two carriage exhibits.

All activities but the lobster bake are free. The farm is located at 95 The Lane. Log onto skylinefarm.org for more information and directions.
