BRUNSWICK — At Last … Salon & Day Spa, located at 185 Park Row, recently hosted a blood drive and bake sale to support the American Red Cross.

As it was its first blood drive, the Brunswick business started with a goal of 15 units collected. Thanks to the generosity of At Last’s staff, clients, and community, the Red Cross was able to collect 21 units of blood. The bake sale raised nearly $200, and the left-over baked goods were donated to Midcoast Hunger Prevention.

Due to the great success of this first blood drive, the American Red Cross has asked At Last … Salon & Day Spa to host another drive in September. More information on the blood drive to be held on Saturday, Sept. 7, can be found at www.atlastsalondayspa.com.
