The Durham Town Office will be closed on July 4.
The new town office hours are Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Thursday, 10:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; closed Wednesday. For more information 353-2561.

The codes enforcement officer is available on Wednesday, June 26, from 5-7 p.m., at the town office.
Friends hosting barbecue dinner benefit
The Durham Friends are hosting a chicken or vegetarian barbecue dinner, with strawberry shortcake for dessert, Saturday June 29, at 5:30 p.m., at the Durham Friends Meetinghouse, located at the intersection of Route 125 and Quakermeeting House Road.
Proceeds will benefit the Friends Orphan Care Center Kakamega, Kenya. Advance tickets are $10 adults, $8 seniors and $5 children. At the door, tickets are $12 adults and $10 seniors. Call 353-6354 for reservations for meals. Coming Saturday, Sept. 28, Pig Roast Harvest Dinner.
Meetings
Durham selectmen will meet Tuesday, July 2 and 30, at 6:30 p.m., in the Durham Town Office.
The Durham Planning Board meets Wednesday, July 10, at 7 p.m., in the Durham Town Office. That is a change because of the Fourth of July holiday.
Meetings will resume the first Wednesday of the month in August.
Masons cooking beans
A bean supper will be on Saturday, July 13, from 4:30-6 p.m., at the Masonic Lodge, located on Route 136 across from the River Park. The prices are $7.50 adults, $3 children ages 5-12 and free for children under 5. On the menu are baked beans, chop suey, hot dogs, potato salad, cole slaw, bread, pickles and homemade pies.
