Police from Bath and Topsham teamed up Saturday to arrest a Lisbon man who allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend and hurled her out of his pickup truck.

Daniel Bussiere, 50, faces charges of domestic violence assault and domestic violence terrorizing. He is free on $1,000 unsecured bail, Bath police Lt. Robert Savary said Monday.

The woman suffered minor injuries, Savary said.

Savary said Topsham police also charged Bussiere for resisting arrest after apprehending him in his silver Chevrolet pickup truck Saturday afternoon. Topsham police then turned him over to Bath police, who booked him on the original charges, Savary said.

Bussiere and his girlfriend were on their way to Popham Beach, Savary said, when the alleged incident occurred on High Street in Bath. Bussiere threatened her then stopped the truck, threw her out and threw her purse on her, Savary said.

The woman called police while Bussiere fled, Savary said. Bath officers Nathan Gould and Ted Raedel responded to her call, and interviewed the woman. lgrard@timesrecord.com
