BRUNSWICK — Police are investigating a vandalism reported at Brunswick High School early this morning by a delivery truck driver.

Brunswick Deputy Police Chief Marc Hagan said the vandalism was reported at 5:26 a.m. and involved toilet paper and signs pulled up.

Paul Perzanoski, Superintendent of Brunswick schools, said this morning that a couple signs were taken down, some greenery torn up and the front entrance was egged in addition to the toilet paper found draped in trees and over shrubbery.

Custodian staff was plucking toilet paper from trees and hosing egg residue from the school entrance this morning, but no serious permanent damage was apparent.

“I would say it’s probably the end of the year school pranks,” Perzanoski said. A couple weeks ago the back of the school was toilet-papered.

While school property was not seriously damaged, “It’s still damage to the building,” Perzanoski said, and is still taking time away from the custodians to clean it up. Damaging pranks or not, the vandalism incidents are not condoned by the school district and Perzanoski said “I’m sure the administration at the high school will let it be know it is not acceptable.”
