I am supporting a family of four here in Maine. Those of us who work for a living often work more than one job to accomplish this.

Those who are living on our gargantuan Department of Health and Human Services welfare system are being supported by families like mine and my neighbors around me.

There is no “balanced approach” to rewarding working people over those who don’t work. Blame the “rich” — or, in other words, those who have worked hard for what they have — and give to those who play the system.

Did you know that more of your tax money goes the Department of Health and Human Services than any other department in the state of Maine?

Now this situation on the federal level is more corrupt than Al Capone could ever wish for, and it will more than likely bankrupt the nation.

In Maine, the Democratic Party has a tough situation. They are not sure what to do with our conservative governor who, from the heart, really does care about the children and their futures.

Democrats have always exploited children for their own power and comfort, but what liberalism leaves in its wake is Detroit, California and New York City — all bankrupt from financially raping small businesses and the taxpayer.

Families are then broken due to financial stress, and the children are on the receiving end. Alcohol abuse, drugs, high unemployment, domestic violence, abuse and increasing crime rates all are the great fruits of liberalism.

Gov. LePage has a very different vision. His vision came from knowing what it is like to be homeless as a child, knowing the value of an education and opportunity when you have nothing. He has a genuine compassion; however, he understands success is not attained by government handouts that are addictive.

As a businessman, he knows it is the responsible thing to do to pay back our hospitals.

Democratic Sen. Seth Goodall wanted to take the political high ground on this issue. Not caring a lick about the hospitals, he cobbled together a “plan” that hit the ground like a sack of wet hens because his Obama math didn’t work.

More recently, we have another political charade. Democrats attempted to tie the governor’s plan to pay back hospitals to the implementation of Obamacare.

In so many words, iron-tough Gov. LePage said, not “no,” but, “hell no” to kid Democrat Alfond, and promised a veto on the legislation. He did.

LePage knows that the family of four that I work two jobs to support will be hurt greatly by this legislation in the long run. Goodall and Alfond don’t give a rip about working families if it serves their own political gain.

Nationwide, Democratic and Republican governors are doing all they can to stop the implementation of Obamacare. They are fully aware this Marxist law will destroy jobs, families and entire economies if allowed to be fully implemented.

Alfond and Goodall just don’t care. That’s why they use buzz words and phrases like “heath care for the poor,” intended to deceive you. LePage calls it what it is: the expansion of welfare.

Can your family afford to pay for more welfare? Do you want to? Should we pay back our hospitals first instead of playing Democratic charades?

It’s your call. After all, you’re paying the freight.
