BRUNSWICK — Fourteen secondgrade students at St. John Catholic School were honored at a special Mass on May 17 for receiving their First Communion.

The students wore their special clothes to the school Mass, sharing with their peers what they had accomplished while celebrating with family members.

One of the St. John second-graders was Jillian Pelletier. In attendance to celebrate on her special day were her greatgrandfather, Larry Thibeault, grandmother Jaline Cogswell and mother Amy Pelletier. All four attended St. John Catholic School.

“For our family, St. John Catholic School in Brunswick has consistently, for four generations, offered to us what we value most in a school: teaching us about God and our Catholic faith, outstanding education and being a part of a wonderful community,” said Amy Pelletier.

“St. John Catholic School has been a central force in the lives of four generations of Thibeaults, which has grown and now includes the Cogswell and Pelletier family names as well,” said Jaline Cogswell. “St. John’s Catholic School is home.”
