WINDHAM – On Monday, May 20, at 8:42 p.m. Windham police officers responded to the scene of a motor vehicle crash on River Road in the area of Boulangers Garage.

According to Sgt. David Bonneau, the crash involved three vehicles. A blue 2001 Dodge Ram, driven by 27-year-old Thomas McMahon, of Newton, NH, had gone off the roadway and struck a pole. Two vehicles following McMahon were also involved.

Shortly after the crash, McMahon fled on foot. Sgt. William Andrew and his K-9 Gringko were called to assist in locating him. After a 45-minute search McMahon was located and arrested for operating under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and assault. He was transported to Cumberland County Jail.
