FREEPORT — North Yarmouth Academy notched its first girls lacrosse win of the season Tuesday, 8-7 over Freeport.
Scoring for NYA (1-6, scheduled to host Cheverus this afternoon) were Abby McKelvy and Jen Machin of Brunswick with two goals each, Alex Wahlstrom two goals and an assist, Mary Noyes a goal and assist, and Olivia Madore a goal and two assists.
Meredith Broderick had three goals and an assist for Freeport, while Jocelyn Davee added two goals, Emily Johnson a goal and Aubrey Pennell a goal and three assists.
Freeport is 5-4 and scheduled to visit York on May 21.
