BRUNSWICK — Dick’s Sporting Goods took on Durham in recent Cal Ripken Major League action and prevailed, 15-0.
Sam Sharpe and Cameron Daly split the pitching duties and combined for 13 strikeouts. Sharpe led the offense, going 4-for-4 with a home run. Hunter Backhaus, Daly and Jack Harvey had two hits each. Owen Richardson played well defensively for DSG.
In other action, Lisbon overpowered Dicks, 12-5. Lisbon’s Nick Austin went 3-for-3, while Cam Bourget, Devan Hannan and Mitch Tuppling each went 2-for-3.
DSG struggled at the plate and was led by James Belanger with two hits and Richardson with two hits and a walk. DSG’s Harvey, Andrew Chingos and Connor Ney shared pitching duties and combined on seven strikeouts.
Lisbon’s Hannan, Tuppling and Bourget combined on seven strikeouts.
