BRUNSWICK — Entering a three-game week, the Brunswick High School girls lacrosse lacrosse team is approaching the midway point of its season.
The Dragons started off with wins against Cony and Edward Little, 5-0 and 12-1, respectively, and received strong offensive work from attacks Becca Bailey, Quinn Alexander, Angelica Boyle, Jenna Bailey, Sammi Moore and Anna McMillan.
Emma McKearney and Heather Goan showed strong defensive effort.
In games against Lewiston and Messalonskee, the Dragons come up short, but with excellent defensive efforts came from Skylar McKinney, Mariah Tardif, Autumn Richardson, Olivia Schafer and Emily Dwyer.
The midfield of Amelia Hawley, Savannah Smith, Lily Gardner, Jenna Bailey and Elise Bourbon played well at both ends.
Against Mt. Ararat, the Dragons fell short, 8-6. A strong defensive effort came from Sydney Escoe, Amanda Faith and Schafer.
Emily Tait, Moore and Alex Roderick continued to spark the attack and kept the game close to the end. Alexis Belling has stood out in goal.
