HARPSWELL — The Islands Community Church has announced its speakers for May, beginning with the Rev. Elizabeth Peterson on Sunday, May 5.
Other guest speakers include Connie Smith on May 12 and the Rev. Mair Honan on May 19.
On May 26, a special Memorial Day service is planned, featuring two speakers from Grace Street Ministry in Portland, a ministry to the homeless. During that service, ICC will offer a special remembrance to honor veterans from the Harpswell Islands. This service will be presented by two parishioners, Frank Orlando and Ed Robinson.
The Islands Community Church on Bailey Island, Harpswell, is a nondenominational church based on the teachings of the Bible. The church is led by a board that invites ordained ministers, lay people and chaplains to celebrate the service. Outreach and community service are important aspects of the church mission. Communion is offered monthly on the first Sunday.
The church is located at 2141 Harpswell Islands Road, Bailey Island.
