BRUNSWICK — Pejepscot Historical Society offers free admission to its museums on Community Appreciation Day, Saturday, May 18.
Two museums — the Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum and the Skolfield-Whittier House — will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., free of charge for residents of Brunswick, Topsham and Harpswell.
The Society will also offer a special tour of the Chamberlain Museum at 3 p.m.
In conjunction with the Village Review Board and National Historic Preservation Month activities, the Society will offer a walking history tour of Maine Street at 10 a.m. The walk, which is free, will be led by Dick Snow. Participants should gather before 10 a.m. at 159 Park Row.
Both museums officially open for the season May 25.
