BRUNSWICK — Gelato Fiasco’s fifth annual benefit “Scoop-A-Thon” and raffle raised more than $5,000 for the Brunswick Teen Center and served more than 1,000 residents and students.
Both are record-setting numbers for the April 25 event, according to marketing director Bobby Guerrette.
Sales proceeds during a 12- hour period totaled $3,012, in addition to $2,324 contributed through raffles and donations from other local businesses.
The Teen Center is operated by People Plus and provides a safe “drop-in” spot for youths in grades 6-12.
