WALTHAM, Mass. — Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage recently announced that it has set up a special donation page to enable employees and sales associates to contribute to the One Fund Boston. To kick-start the effort, Coldwell Banker has donated $20,000 to the One Fund Boston through its charitable foundation, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares.

The One Fund Boston was established by Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino to help the people most affected by the tragic events that occurred in Boston on April 15.

“Like the rest of the nation, our team at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage was incredibly saddened by the devastating loss of life and severe injuries that were suffered at the 117th Boston Marathon. We wanted to find a way to assist the victims and their families as they recover from these horrific attacks. We are honored to provide our support to the One Fund Boston,” said Pat Villani, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England.

Hosting blood drive

In addition to donating to the One Fund Boston, Coldwell Banker will be hosting a blood drive through the American Red Cross to support local communities and their needs in the wake of the Boston Marathon tragedy. The blood drive takes place June 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Coldwell Banker headquarters, 52 Second Ave. in Waltham.

Given millions

Sales associates and employees in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island donate a portion of their sales commissions or paychecks to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares, which supports nonprofit organizations throughout New England. Since it was established in 2003, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares has donated millions to hundreds of nonprofit organizations in the region. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares is the New England chapter of The Realogy Foundation.
