PORTLAND — Heiker Meneses scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning on a John Church (0-3) wild pitch as the Portland Sea Dogs beat the Binghamton Mets, 9-8 in 10 innings on Tuesday night at Hadlock Field.
Meneses (3-for-5, three RBIs, two triples, double) led off the 10th with a double, advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Shannon Wilkerson and scored on a two-out wild pitch.
Brock Huntzinger (1-0) tossed two scoreless innings to earn the win. Huntzinger stranded two runners in top of the 10th.
Craig Breslow started in a Major League Rehab assignment, but lasted just four hitters. The teams conclude the three-game series tonight at 6 p.m.
