PORTLAND — The U.S. Small Business Administration, in conjunction with AARP and the Maine Small Business Development Centers, will be hosting an “Encore Entrepreneur” forum on April 30, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the AARP Maine Office, 1685 Congress St., Portland.
The workshop will introduce prospective small business owners to the resources that are available to help them get started and successfully launch their business.
— Alden Turner, acting deputy district director and senior area manager for the U.S. Small Business Administration in Maine, will provide details regarding SBA programs.
— Lori Parham, state director of AARP Maine, will discuss AARP resources.
— John Entwistle, center director and certified business counselor at the Maine Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Portland, will discuss SBDC services.
— James Gove, Business Underwriting and Government Guarantee specialist, will speak on behalf of Bangor Savings Bank.
