PORTLAND — The Maine Association of Realtors will host Maine Open House Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21, according to a news release.
The event is held in conjunction with the Nationwide Open House weekend, the nation’s largest open house weekend.
During the weekend, Maine Realtors will hold open houses across the state for those interested in homeownership. Realtors will be available to answer questions about the home buying process and the housing market conditions.
“This is a great opportunity for buyers in the marketplace,” said Bart Stevens, president of the Maine Association of Realtors. “Interest rates are low and prices are extremely affordable. Maine Open House Weekend gives consumers the chance to find out more about the home options available to them.”
A listing of the homes that are participating in Maine Open House Weekend can be found at http://mainelistings.com/openhouse.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
