State police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing elderly man from Maryland.

Timothy John Fowler, 69, who walked away from an adult day care center in Largo, Md., on April 8, once worked at the Brunswick Naval Air Station and had expressed a desire to return to Maine, according to a news release from Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.

Fowler grew up in Portland, has three adult children in Maine and talked often about returning to the state, according to McCausland.

Police say Fowler suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, has no money, no driver’s license and owns no vehicles, but family members think he may have found trans- portation to Maine.

Fowler was born and raised in Portland, has children in Raymond and Harrison, and at one time worked at the Brunswick Naval Air Station and at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

Anyone who may have had any contact with Fowler should call Maine State Police in Gray at 657-3030.
