APPROXIMATELY TWO DOZEN students from Regional School Unit 2 and elsewhere braved the cold Friday, April 12, to protest proposed cuts to education funding. Senate Majority Leader Seth Goodall, D-Richmond, rear left, and House Majority Leader Seth Berry, D-Bowdoinham, thanked them for coming to the State House on the first day of April vacation. Richmond High School senior Lauren Umberhind, 17, organized the event to “put a face on the cuts,” she said.
