Boston Police set up a perimeter around North Station on Monday afternoon and screened passengers as they entered the station.
The northbound Downeaster trains left Boston as scheduled, at 5 p.m. and 5:40 p.m, and are running on time, said officials from the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority.
