The driver of a vehicle that rolled over on Hill Road was spared serious injury Monday night.
Lt. Calvin Temple of the Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Department said Brighid Keating, 19, of West Bath was driving a Nissan Pathfinder east on Hill Road. As she crested the hill, she saw two all-terrain vehicles that weren’t in the roadway, but it surprised and caused her to panic.
She then lost control of the vehicle, which rolled over twice. Keating had her seat belt on and was not injured.
West Bath Fire Department, West Bath EMS and a Bath ambulance responded to the scene where crews remained for about an hour.
The incident was reported at 5:38 p.m. Temple said the vehicle was totaled.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
