Brunswick police arrested a man Thursday night they say assaulted his pregnant girlfriend.
Police responded to report of a domestic disturbance on Perryman Drive at around 10 p.m. Thursday. Lt. Tom Garrepy said Christopher Mackenzie, 21, of Brunswick was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, who is 22 weeks pregnant.
She was injured during the altercation, complained of back pain and was transported to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
Mackenzie was transported to Cumberland County Jail in Portland and given a Cumberland County Superior Court date of June 18.
