TOPSHAM — The Topsham Parks and Recreation Department is offering a variety of spring and summer classes and lessons.
Adult beginner golf
Held at the Highland Green Golf Course in Topsham, Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. beginning on May 16. A limit of 12 per group.
The cost is $75 for Topsham residents, $85 for non-residents.
Youth Golf Clinic
For ages 8-15, beginning on April 18 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Class size is limited to 20 and includes instruction, chipping and putting. Cost is $20 for Topsham residents, $25 for non-residents.
Summer Youth golf
Tuesdays at 11 a.m. for ages 8-15 beginning July 9 and running for four weeks.
Class size is limited to 12 and includes iron play, chipping, putting and course etiquette.
All clubs are provided. Cost is $50 for Topsham residents, $60 for non-residents.
7th-8th grade lacrosse
Open to all students who live within School Administrative District 75.
Cost is $80 per player, while families with two or more players may register at $50 per player.
Deadline to register is April 12. Afterwards there is a $10 late fee and registrations will be placed on a space available status.
Youth bowling
Offered for ages 8-14 on Saturday mornings at 11 a.m., beginning April 6 at the Columbus Club Bowling in Brunswick.
Program runs for 10 weeks and includes rental of shoes, instruction and strings. Beginner and advanced bowlers are welcome.
Cost is $35 for Topsham residents, $45 for non-residents of SAD 75.
Spring cross country
This program is available for children ages 6-12 who reside in SAD 75.
Kicks off on April 29 at 5 p.m. at the entrance to the Riverside Field (gated entrance).
Practices are held on Mondays and Thursdays with meets being held on Wednesdays.
Cost is $25 for Topsham residents, $35 for non-Topsham residents in SAD 75. Cost includes a team T-shirt.
Those who register by April 19 are guaranteed to have a T-shirt for the first meet.
