The Western Maine Conference recently named its postseason honors, and Lake Region is well-represented.

An awards night will be held Monday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m., at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland, followed by the senior all-star game the next night.

Sydney Hancock of Lake Region is a finalist for the Robert E. Butler Sr. Award and a second-team all-conference selection along with teammate Kelsey Winslow. Teammate Tiana-Jo Carter is a first-team selection.

Coach Paul True will coach on of the girls teams in the Western Maine Conference Senior All-Star Game, to be played on Tuesday, March 12, at Southern Maine Community College, with the girls taking the court at 6 p.m. followed by the boys at 8 pm.

Winslow, Hancock and Savannah Devoe of the Lakers will all take part. Laker Mike Triglione will play in the boys game.
