WORCESTER, Mass. — Logan Russell of Bath and the University of Southern Maine won two of his three matches during the NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Championships this past weekend.
Russell, at 157 pounds, pinned Evan Robinson of Trinity College in his first-round match. He lost by major decision to Springfield College’s Devin Biscaha, but followed that up with a 7-2 victory over Nic Moreschi of Western New England University.
Russell made it three wins with a consolation round pinfall victory over Dan Ressler of Roger Williams, but his 13-2 major decision loss to third-seeded Plymouth State grappler Femi Wheeler ended his competition.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
