BRUNSWICK — Three members of the Bowdoin College indoor track and field team have earned a trip to the Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships in qualifiers announced by the NCAA on Monday.
Coby Horowitz, Samuel Seekins and Erin Silva will all be competing at the event, which begins Friday at North Central College in Naperville, Ill.
Horowitz qualified in the mile run with a season-best time of 4:10.01, the second-best in Division III this year. Horowitz will compete on Friday in the prelims at 4:55 p.m. with hopes of advancing to Saturday’s final at 1:30 p.m.
Seekins was the final qualifier in the 5,000 meters with his time of 14:37.45 from earlier this year. The men’s 5,000 meters will be run at 4:20 p.m. on Saturday.
Silva is seeded 11th nationally in the pole vault, where she carded a season-high of 12-02 to earn a trip to nationals. The women’s pole vault will get underway on Friday at noon.
