Propane smell unfounded
The Times Record
BATH
Firefighters on Tuesday night responded to a home across the street from the Feb. 12 propane explosion on Bluff Road, where the resident reported the smell of propane.
Firefighter Kip Newell said today that the call from 16 Bluff Road was unfounded. The smell might have been from a skunk running around in the neighborhood, he said.
The home is across the street from 31 Bluff Road, where a propane-ignited explosion blew up the duplex and killed Dale Ann Fussell.
“He was nervous,” Newell said of the caller. “He was looking right across the street at that explosion, so I don’t blame him.”
