SOUTH PORTLAND — Dead River Company has a new vice president and chief financial officer. Charlie Hahn, former managing principal at Baker Newman Noyes, takes over from Brad Hunter, who retired after five years with Dead River Company.

Hahn served at Baker Newman Noyes since 1995 as a tax principal, director of Tax Services, and, in 2008, was made managing principal. During his time there, Hahn oversaw Dead River Company’s account with Baker Newman Noyes.

“Charlie is already extremely knowledgeable about Dead River Company, which will allow for a seamless transition to his leadership of our financial management. We’re pleased to welcome him into the growing Dead River Company family,” said Bob Moore, president of Dead River Company.

“Dead River Company is a forward-looking company that is making exciting strides in giving its residential and commercial customers multiple choices to meet their energy needs. This is a great time to be coming aboard and I look forward to being a part of it all,” said Hahn.

Hahn has a B.S. in business administration and accounting and an M.S. in taxation, both from Bryant University in Rhode Island, and is a graduate of Duke University’s ExcEL Leadership program.

He lives with his wife in Falmouth and has two daughters.
