HALLOWELL – Eli Breed scored from Curtis Guimond and Brandon Negele after 2:41 of overtime Monday night to left Cape Elizabeth into the final Western Class B schoolboy hockey playoff spot with a 1-0 victory against Gardiner.
Grant Rusk finished with 26 saves to record the shutout for Cape Elizabeth (7-10-1).
Brad Moore stopped 30 shots for Gardiner (5-11-1).
SCARBOROUGH 3, BIDDEFORD 0: Jack Rousselle and Matt Henderson each had a goal and an assist, and Dalton Finney stopped 17 shots to lead Scarborough (15-1) over Biddeford (7-9-1) at Saco.
Rousselle got the winner after 1:30, and Henderson scored with two minutes left in the first period. Cam Loiselle assisted on both goals.
Garrett McDonald scored the final goal from Jake Gross and Trevor Murray on a power play in the third period.
Jon Fields made 32 saves for Biddeford.
PORTLAND/DEERING 6, SOUTH PORTLAND 2: Zach Luce and Mike Fuller each had two goals and two assists to lead the Bulldogs (12-4) past the Red Riots (2-14) at Portland Ice Arena.
Andrew Ahonen and Luigi Grimaldi also scored for Portland/Deering. Alec Neal and Dylan Farrell-Reny each got an unassisted goal for South Portland.
CHEVERUS 9, WINDHAM/SACOPEE VALLEY 2: Liam Fitzpatrick and Cameron McLain each finished with two goals and two assists to lead the Stags (12-5) past Windham/Sacopee Valley (2-15) at Portland.
Brett Libby and Alex Libby added one goal and one assist apiece for Cheverus, which led 5-1 at the end of the first period.
Danny Stewart and Blake Cormier scored for Windham/Sacopee Valley.
BRUNSWICK 4, SKOWHEGAN 3: Tyler Sullivan scored 3:22 into overtime for the Dragons (9-7-1) against the Indians (12-4-1) at Winslow.
After Dwayne Palmer of Brunswick scored the lone goal of the second period, Trey Michonski scored twice in 15 seconds to give Skowhegan the lead.
Brian Maciejewski and Cam Heatley notched consecutive goals as the Dragons regained a 3-2 lead. Jacob Johnson tied it with 20 seconds left in regulation.
