GRAY — The National Weather Service says Wednesday’s high temperatures set records across all of Maine.

Portland’s high of 52 degrees broke the old record of 49 degrees for Jan. 30, set in 1959. Bangor’s high of 52 broke its old record of 46 degrees, set five years ago.

The weather service says Caribou’s high of 46 degrees broke the previous record of 43 degrees, set 63 years ago. Millinocket and Houlton also hit record high temperatures for the date.

On Thursday morning, temperatures were spring-like across all of Maine, reaching into the 50s across the entire state.
