BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Junior High Boys seventh-grade boys basketball team completed its regular season Monday with a 33-22 win over Bath.
The Huskies finished the season with a seven-game winning streak to close at 8-2.
A late flurry enable Brunswick to pull out the 11-point margin, but it was backand forth the whole game.
The Huskies were led by season-long standout Alex Small, who tallied eight points and a strong floor game. He was aided by Colby Buckman with six points. Brunswick had eight players in the scoring column.
Bath was led by Parker Onorato, who played a strong game both offensively and defensively. He scored eight points. He received help from Lukas Osterhaut, Dylan Haycock and Isiah Cogswell, who scored four points each.
Team members for the successful Huskies this year were: Jack Bates, Forrest Blankenship, Zach Boyle, Buckman, Alex Demars, Sam Dorval, Sam Hackworth, Kyle Hanson, Miah Larrabee, Deon Sands, Wyatt Slocum, Small, Will Stevens and manager Joe Algrem.
The Huskies are scheduled to participate in the Brunswick Recreation Department’s Mid-Winter Classic during the February school vacation.
