To the Editor:
Why does Paul LePage treat the people of Maine with such disrespect?
Contrary to his belief, we are not all idiots. There is no excuse for the way he treats the public officials the good people of Maine elected. He seems to forget that only 39 percent of the voters elected him, and hopefully people who don’t like or agree with his methods will vote him out at the next election. Aren’t we tired of being the laughingstock of the whole country?
This man is a bully and a dictator. It seems, in his eyes, there are two ways to look at everything: His way and his way. Where is the democacy in that? Are we not entitled to an opinion? What happened to freedom of speech? Or is that only meant for him?
He always has to throw a temper tantrum if anyone dare has the nerve to say anything he doesn’t agree with, and it appears he doesn’t agree with anything that anyone else has to say. It must be a heavy burden to be so great.
Hail to King Paul! Don’t forget, someday you’ll be a nobody like the rest of us. It can’t happen soon enough.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
