BANGOR (AP) — A Maine man has been sentenced in federal court to more than two years in prison for being in possession of an arsenal of 19 stolen guns.

Roger Briscoe of New Sharon was sentenced to two years and three months in prison, followed by three years of probation on Thursday in U.S. District Court in Bangor.

The 34-year-old Briscoe had pleaded guilty in October.

Authorities say Briscoe broke into a Jay home last January and took the guns, including six semi-automatic rifles, five semi-automatic pistols and shotguns.
