Friday, Feb. 8: Tomorrow’s weather forecast calls for clear skies, drizzle, sleet, and snow! You can hear different kinds of weather in music – plucking violin strings might make you think of gentle rain while the deep sounds of the double bass may conjure up a thunderstorm! Did you know a composer named Vivaldi wrote music that sounds like the weather? Join the PSO string quintet as they demonstrate how different kinds of weather can be recreated in music.
Friday, May 17: We’re going to the zoo, how about you? At the Percussion Zoo you will hear shakers, beaters, and melody makers and see instruments of all sizes and varieties. You’ll have a roaring good time with the Percussion Trio as we discover a wild kingdom of rhythms and beats.
