BRUNSWICK — Greater Brunswick Physical Therapy will be featured on the Saturday, Jan. 26 “incredible- MAINE” program on the Maine Public Broadcasting Network at 10:30 a.m.

The holistic health-care organization is being highlighted for its dedication to wellness and its community outreach.

GBPT was established 24 years ago by owner/therapist Donna Maria Bordeaux, with the goal of providing a safe and comfortable environment for healing to take place. Today, the company has 24 employees and four locations in Brunswick, Bath, Auburn and Harpswell.

This past December, GBPT was recognized as the 2012 Business of the Year for medium sized businesses by the Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber.

“As a home-grown, local business it can sometimes feel like David vs. Goliath in the health-care world,” said co-owner Peter Cooper. “It’s an extraordinary honor and a real testament to the dedication of our employees. Our success is also a result of strong-willed patients who realize they have the right to choose the PT provider that best meets their needs.”

It was the second time GBPT had been so honored. In 1997, it was named the SMMC’s Small Business of the Year. “It brought tears of joy and gratitude to be honored on our 10th anniversary, and again as we entered our 25th anniversary,” said Bordeaux. “It’s humbling, especially knowing that the chamber represents almost 750 businesses.”
